Lepidopter in Second Life

A Second Life user named Bunnys Fride visiting the Jules Verne Museum in Nantes, France saw my painting of the "lepidopter" flying machine and asked if he could create it for Second Life. It's now available for free from the marketplace there.

(Video Link) Natascha made this video of the contraption in action.
Thanks, Bunnys Fride.

I'm the guy who threw 'lepidopter' at you a while ago. I can't tell you how much it tickles me to see the word in use. It lives! It lives!

Now if strunk catches on, I'll be able to die happy.

(Strunk: to aggressively edit for concision. From William Strunk, of The Elements of Style.)

Oh what a cool idea.
That's just so neat.

I'd love to post on my blog some of my ideas for space craft that have to do with space cat and dogs but I just don't have the proper copy rights for them right now. But I can tell you I had a pretty cool inspiration for the cat ship from looking at a picture of a sprig of catnip. The shape really intrigued me and I just had to sketch the thing in geometric shapes. Its still currently roughly drawn and I just have to add some interesting detail. :D
